Two weeks ago we polled our clients and colleagues about the NACAC vote that took place on September 28 to decide if members wanted to test the Justice Department's anti-trust charge. The Justice Department alleges that provisions in the Code of Ethics and Professional Practice constitute restraint of free trade.

We received enthusiastic participation from a diverse group of school leaders—from Directors of Admission to Vice Presidents of Enrollment to Presidents of universities—about their thoughts on the vote, the provisions, the impact of NACAC on our industry, and shared concerns about the future for admissions processes, student decisions, and the potential ramifications for specific institution types.
